MEET THE ORGANIZER

Ney Araujo is a musician, a teacher, a businessman, and a friend. He's also a devoted husband, father, and one of the few people who genuinely care about his community and takes action when he sees a way to help.
He wanted to create a way to showcase his music students' talents, so he and his wife, Renata, put their heads together to create Rock the Ribbon.
Nearly 400,000 people receive a breast cancer diagnosis every year in the United States alone. Ney and Renata's family was one of those affected. Supporting a cause that they had personally faced seemed like the right way to give back - while celebrating the wins and the extraordinary talents of our community's youth - through music.
Ney is no stranger to the healing power of music. It touches people in ways no other art form can.
He, Renata, and the amazing artists who will be present on the day would love to see you there.
In Ney's words, "We’re taking the stage to have the best time together, moved by a very special purpose and much love in our hearts, supporting breast cancer awareness. I want to make this event the greatest lesson I can teach my students… showing them what music is really about!"
